Song(s) of the Week

January 31, 2011March 30, 2011 / Daniel Waugh

The thought of more snow and/or ice, and more snow/ice days pushes me to the brink of sanity...so here's a couple good insane songs for the week. Metallica, "Frayed Ends of Sanity" Megadeath, "Sweating Bullets"

>I love solid rock and roll music, and Aerosmith certainly qualifies, though I forget about them from time to time. The big question: old Aerosmith or new Aerosmith?1973: "Dream On"

>Van Halen is/was a great group. This song makes me think of the awesome John Cusack movie "Better off Dead" - singing cheeseburgers! Oh, and what in the world is he saying at the 1:56 minute mark?

About Me

I have been married to the same incredible woman since 1997. I am the father to three great boys who surprise me every day. I serve as the pastor of adult ministries at Christ Community Church (formerly Evangelical Community Church) in Bloomington, Indiana (though the views expressed on this blog are not necessarily thoseof the church or its leadership as a whole). I consider myself evangelical in the historic sense of the word. I prefer the term Confessional, though the irony is I don't minister at a confessional church. I'm reformed, with sympathies for high church and sacramental Christianity. My theological heroes include Edwards, Nevin, Calvin and Machen. You can read more about me in my bio
