I’m sure there are a lot of opinions about the midterm elections. I will not offer mine, and you weren’t asking. But I will offer some truth that we all keep close.

First, whether you were disappointed in the results of thrilled with the election results, know that the impact will not be as awful as your fear nor as fantastic as you hope.

Second, the results of last night election will neither disturb the Jerusalem Above, nor will it it bring it to earth.

Third, whether you are disappointed now or will be disappointed in the near future, hope in the state or in specific politicians is sure the disappoint.

Finally, the church stands ready to welcome the disappointed, the disillusioned and the despaired, offering a more certain, unshakeable future and King who will not fail to deliver on his promises.
